You need to setup your yum repos (in /etc/yum.repos.d) to point
to a still-active mirror as the mirrorlist is probably long gone.

Use baseurl with those two (comment-out the existing configuration):

Sample fedora mirror:
ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/fedora.redhat.com/fedora/linux/releases/9/Fedora/i386/os/

Sample update mirror:
ftp://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/fedora.redhat.com/fedora/linux/updates/9/i386.newkey/

If you don't have the time to upgrade to F12, upgrading to rawhide is
probably not a good idea, BTW :)
