"won't boot" is a short description for a broad range of conditions.
[tho you do define below]

if will not boot, as in you do not see grub start, boot fedora 13 in
rescue mode and reinstall grub boot loader.

if you see grub start, halt it and edit grub to remove gui and change
to boot level 1 and text so you can see where it fails.

if boots ok in level 1, boot level 3.

if boots ok in level 3, boot level 5.

if i am reading what you wrote correctly, how do you figure you can upgrade
an install that failed?

if an install fails, it can not / should not be upgraded.

this is a whole different 'can of worms' than what was in your first post.

so, try above to see where it is freezing.

what happens when you press <alt+F2> or <alt+F3>?

if it was a bad install, you should have done so before trying to upgrade
to fedora 13.

it it was a good install, at least you know it will install. ;)

if you can get a good fedora 12 install, hold with it until support ends.

all snakes bite. some can kill you, some will make you feel like you are
dieing, some will just cause a bad infection. :)

you, i, and many others on this list agree. it has been discussed, but i do
not recall what/how fedora 13 is supposed to handle install.

it will/may after you get updates installed.

'prime time' in fedora definition means 'broader, more advanced testing'.

i have to head out shortly, others will be around to help.

perseverance.

later.
