It looks like xerces-j2 was built with OpenJDK and doesn't have target=
flags.  IMO all things needing xerces-j2 need to have Requires java >=
1:1.6.0 or xerces-j2 needs to be compiled at a lower bytecode level.
Please follow up with a xerces-j2 bug which will get the attention of
its maintainer.
