transferring gnotes

I would like to transfer my gnote notes from my F12 laptop to my F13
desktop. I have done this several times with different versions of
Fedora but now I am stumped.

Previously transferring the .gnote directory, logging off and logging on
worked. Now it  fails on may different levels.

Can someone share with me a method to do this transfer?
