if you are trying to bring in old files from f12 into f13 and are no
longer using f12, then you are not going to be able to if your are now
using f13 for emails.
what you are going to have to do is copy in f12 files to a separate folder
path and manually move old emails to f13 folders.
after which, you will need to install a duplicate email finder and run it.
for available add-ons.
if you know you broke off using f12 and have no dupes in f13, then all you
need to do is move emails from f12 folders to f13 folders.
either use backup as i mentioned in other post to this thread or use 'rsync'
to bring f12 folders into f13.
if you use backup, create a folder under 'Local Folders' and name 'f12'.
with thunderbird closed, copy f12's 'Mail' directory to f13's
'Mail/Local Folders/f13' open thunderbird and move emails.
if you wish to use rsync, create f12 folder as above, exit thunderbird,
cd to f12 directory and use *bobg at box6:/home/bobg/.thunderbird/Mail/* as
your source directory.

to mess up a linux box, you need to work at it.
to mess up an ms windows box, you just need to *look* at it.
