from a terminal, enter;

  $ thunderbird --help

next, from terminal, enter;

  $ thunderbird -safe-mode

to open thunderbird with add-ons disabled.


1] use or let run to see if locks up.

2] if no, from 'menu bar' "tools > add-ons" for add-ons window,
   enable *1* add-on.

3] close thunderbird, restart normal.

repeat 1, 2, 3 until crash.
