F14 on Asus eeePC: gnome brightness applet gone

Hi all,

I upgraded my Asus 1001HA eeePC from F13 to F14 earlier today, without any
apparent problems. Only one significant casualty: the LSD brightness slider
no longer is displayed in the Gnome panel status section. 

Any ideas on what might have happened here? Surely this useful applet is
still part of Gnome??  This file is now gone:
/usr/libexec/gnome-brightness-applet
