You can do that by putting a # in front of the hiddenmenu above in
your /boot/grub/grub.conf file. That will allow you to select the OS
that boots. Instead of selecting the first entry, Fedora, select the
second entry Upgrade to Fedora 14. I don't know that it will do any
better, but it will at least try to finish the upgrade.
