Streaming audio out to an internet destination

You're right! I have posed the question to skype
support. Currently, skype can use your camera
to send the video stream to the destination and
display it on the desktop.
It would be a great feature if they could add
the ability to stream out audio files as well.

Ideally, skype could exec some existing media player,
like mplayer or ffplpay and capture it's audio stream
and send it out the ip connection.
