Fedora Version 12.0 server - automatic restart

Is this a full on restart as if you hit the restart option?

If it is not this could be xscreensaver crashing, or even your video card driver failing and causing X to restart.

Please advise fully what is happening and what you are doing when the server goes back to the login screen.
