No - you told him what you thought the cause of his problem 'probably'
was without even the slightest understanding what the technology was. If
Rhythmbox can play the music, it can share the music because play
permissions are all that is necessary for sharing. Now you convinced him
of some need to change his music directory to 777 perms for no good
reason.

Not to mention that your 2 postings provided no useful information to
solve his problems which says to me that your answers are not to be
trusted since you have no reservations about tossing out wild guesses on
things you don't understand.
