HELP - Fedora 14 with kernel 2.6.39-rc5

I've got a couple of boxes running F14 and I thought I'd play with a 
2.6.39 kernel. I currently run 2.6.38.4 on both, so I do know how to 
build a kernel. I tried my working 2.6.38 kernel config files and the 
latest Fedora kernel configs as starting points.

Long story short, I can't get any video out of either box. One has a 
radeon card and the other has nvidia. The system boots, and I can ssh 
in, but no pretty pictures.

I'm stuck. Any hints will be appreciated.
