Disable (broken) nvidia drivers, enable nouveau drivers again ???

yum remove "*kmod-nvidia*" "xorg-x11-drv-nvidia*"

Also, since that guide (unnecessarily) tells you to regenerate your
initramfs, re-regenerate it or restore the backup copy you made.
