The monitor or video card are seem to be limited to less than 1600x1600 since
no mode line is generated for that. In a previous message the monitor-edid
output suggested that your monitor does have EDID support.

I looked up specs on the monitor and it looks like the natural resolution of
the monitor is 1680x1050. It may be that the monitor doesn't really support
1600x1200 (even if it can be driven out of spec) and that the video card
doesn't support 1680x1050.
