firefox menus not working

Maybe, but it wasn't Firefox that was updated. I listed the packages
that were.  And yes, I did quit Firefox afterwards - I reinstalled it to
see whether that would help. Also rebooted. No joy.

I posted the query to see if others have the same problem; if they do
then I can wait for a fix. Otherwise I must try to get it sorted. 

Any other suggestions, please?
