getting packet dropperd on interface

Can you also include the network statistics, it may helpful to know 
exactly what type of errors these are:

ethtool -S em1

Are you in a position to change the cable?

I see this is a Supermicro, does the machine have a IPMI card using the 
same IP address by any chance ?
