Just to say this problem still appears to be present with

ja at minix ~ 1$ uname -a
Linux minix 3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Apr 4 18:08:51 UTC 2012
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

where it is meant to have been cured

I hope it gets solved soon as I use eSATA hotplug often each day !
