Everything hints that the Xerox Phaser 3140 is a GDI printer aka WinPrinter.
However, all cheap lasers are nowadays (whish I could find one with PCL5... ).
The printer was apparently discontinued last year but they´re still
selling it down here in South America
They provide binary drivers for Linux (dated October 2009) at
http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-3140/downloads/enza.html?operatingSystem=linux&fileLanguage=en_GB
Since I don´t have access to my F17 system right now (I have it shut
down while I assemble a RAID sata enclosure)
could someone please let me know if at least the package provided by
Xerox installs fine in F17 ?
I´d really appreciate it. TIA...
