You can e.g. use sysresccd. Download an image here:

 http://www.sysresccd.org

You could e.g. run isohybrid on the image and copy it to an USB memory
stick and boot from it afterwards:

 isohybrid image.iso
 cat image.iso > /dev/sdX

And you are ready to go.
