That will be sufficient. However, you could let the agent write
GPG_AGENT_INFO into a file, to inform other programs/processes about
it (esp. kmail). See "--write-env-file" parameter in manpage. Usually,
it points to your homedir or ~/.cache.
--write-env-file /home/user/gpg-agent-info
