copy corrupting last block of file?

I agree it is insane, but the sdcard works fine when the copy
is done on a Windows box and when the rsync command is used
on the linux box.

I tried about a half dozen times, and those worked every time.

When I use "cp" though, it fails every time for the same half dozen
tries. I've even shutdown the system and let it cool off and rebooted
and cp still fails and rsync still works :-).
