Well, it's text-based menu driven, e.g., you use the cursor keys or VI
command keys (hjkl), messages can be displayed in threads, etc.  Not mouse
oriented, but still not _that_ primitive.

It's probably not something many people would pick up today, but it's got
real advantages if you need them.  It's incredibly flexible, especially for
handling huge numbers of messages.  It's almost impossible to inadvertently
open a bad URL, since they're displayed for you in text mode; but you can
view HTML mail if you wish.
