Moving from 32-bit to 64-bit Fedora

Far from it. x32 is designed for performance. There are many applications
where the additional space occupied by 64bit pointers is a measurable
performance hit, but you still want to use the 64bit features of the CPU
in all other respects.

Maybe but 32bit processors are still shipping today and with applications
that mean they won't be gone for many years to come. Many current
netbooks are still 32bit (sometimes 32bit processors sometimes
artificially crippled by the netbook manufacturer).
