All I know for sure is that as soon as I learned what Gnome 3 was going
to be like I started researching alternatives and am very happy now with
Xfce. Sooner or later, all of you who are unhappy with various parts of
Gnome 3 are going to have to do one of three things: get used to the way
it works, install enough extensions to get it working the way you want
(and hope they don't break) or migrate to something else. And, I do
wonder what the Gnome devs would do if a significant percentage of you
walked away from Gnome because you'd decided that it was more work
trying to make Gnome work for you than it was worth.
