printer configuration on F17 ???

yeah. done. also installed some foomatic things and then when I chose
add printer it thought for a couple of minutes and found the printer
out on the LAN. it assigned the correct (or at least "A" correct)
driver to it and voila.

one odd thing, there doesn't seem to be any way to change printer
settings, resolution, etc. weird.

Ah. running system-config-printer (which I had to manually install) lets
me change resolution and numerous other things. strange that the add-printer
app doesn't.

well, at least it's now working. thanks for your patience, Ed!
