The initramfs has your back covered. The only problem arises, when the initramfs
has not enough information or tools or kernel drivers to mount /usr or to
assemble the device it lives on. This case should not be possible, if you set up
/usr with the installer. If you encounter such a problem, then please file a
bug, because dracut (the initramfs framework) should be able to cope with all
supported installation locations.
