i use both k3b and x-cd-roast.

that is hidden. :-)

go to directory;

    ~/.kde/share/config

open file;

    kdeglobals

<ctrl+f>, enter;

    hidden

you will see;

   Show hidden files=false

change to;

   Show hidden files=true

it used to be in configuration, but has been removed for some reason.
