and how does this affect any of what i said above or
confirm the FUD from this thread?

the opposite is true, CentOS is NOT able to change ANYTHING
in the kernel of the 1:1 rebuild

* CentOS is rebuilding the src.rpms of RHEL
* the kernel src.rpm is public
