How can I install 32-bit packages in 64-bit system?

Hi all,

Up to fedora 18, I was used to install 32-bit packages in my 64-bit
system by adding the ".i686" as suffix for the package.
However, this does not seem to work for some packages in fedora 19. For
example:

# yum install java-1.7.0-openjdk.i686
Loaded plugins: auto-update-debuginfo, langpacks, refresh-packagekit

How can I fix this? I had similar problems with boost-static (due to a
missing dependency), and I downloaded the rpm file & manually installed
it. Is there a better solution?

George
