I'm not sure of anything, but the problem started with a kernel
upgrade. Looking at my kernels installed:

Fedora (3.10.5-201.fc19.x86_64) 19 (Schrödinger’s Cat) // keeps crashing
Fedora (3.10.4-300.fc19.x86_64) 19 (Schrödinger’s Cat) // kept crashing
Fedora (3.10.3-300.fc19.x86_64) 19 (Schrödinger’s Cat) // was fine

Skimming through /var/log/messages, it seems to me that my freezes
coincide with the following messages repeated many (hundreds?
thousands?) times:

Aug 12 11:25:59 localhost kernel: [13380.541175] mei_me 0000:00:16.0:
reset: unexpected enumeration response hbm.
Aug 12 11:25:59 localhost kernel: [13380.541178] mei_me 0000:00:16.0:
unexpected reset: dev_state = RESETTING
Aug 12 11:25:59 localhost kernel: [13380.541191] mei_me 0000:00:16.0:
reset: wrong host start response
Aug 12 11:25:59 localhost kernel: [13380.541194] mei_me 0000:00:16.0:
unexpected reset: dev_state = RESETTING

I found some similar cases on Google, but not sure what to learn from them.

  Any advice? Thanks!

     Take care
     Oliver
