it is excusable by some, but it is disliked by many. myself for one.

if you have something to say that is not already being discussed,
start a _new_thread_. doing so will put your subject in clear view
so list readers will not have to go digging thru old threads to
find out what you have to say.

mainly, it shows respect of others and adds intelligence to what you
saying.
