Why thank you.  Some interesting things here.  Will have to work on some 
of the later, but the audio is talked about and...

no ./.asoundrc file.  But maybe the instructions there are how to make 
one where you have none.

And:

  grep snd-hda-intel /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel.conf
grep: /etc/modprobe.d/snd-hda-intel.conf: No such file or directory

So how do I configure the snd-hda-intel module?
