When I just tried to reboot fedora 18, it printed about 3 lines on the console, then sat there forever. I typed Ctrl-Alt-Delete and it printed a new line about the alsa save soundcard service not working. I could type it in again and get the same message again. After about 5 minues of this, it finally got out of the save soundcard nonsense and finished shutting down.
