Install FC18 on laptop? Wifi woes

I'd be interested to know if Fedora-18 KDE Live
ever makes a WiFi connection,
as it doesn't do so on my Thinkpad T60 with Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG,
which usually seems to work "out of the box" under Linux.
