Sound gone from yum upgrade from F17->F18

No, no, I did the upgrade in permissive mode.
Here is a list of what I tried:
sudo semodule -r matahari
sudo semodule -B
sudo fixfiles restore
sudo reboot
After that, I tried
sudo yum reinstall libvirt-daemon polkit
and got
No Match for argument: libvirt-daemon
but the polkit did reinstall.
I then tried reinstalling selinux, and pulseaudio to no avail.
As final shot, I tried reinstalling everything:
sudo yum reinstall \*
And all went through, but still no sound. Hence this request for advice.
Funny, I don't see anyone who has reported this problem on F18 in the
archives.
