ignoring a particular package another one depends on

Hi,

'xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-1:319.23-5.fc19.x86_64' now depends on
'xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-2.fc19.x86_64'.

'xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-2.fc19.x86_64' conflicts with some
packages that prevent updating some packages like the NVIDIA drivers and
the kernel.

Is it somehow possible to ignore the particular dependency on
'xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-2.fc19.x86_64' while not ignoring
other dependencies?

'yum -x xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173xx-173.14.37-2.fc19.x86_64 update'
doesn't ignore the dependency on the package which it is supposed to
ignore.
