Problem upgrading nvidia in Fedora-19

I had the same issue and got fed up with waiting for the conflicts to
be solved. Here is what I did:
1. removed all nvidia packages:
$ yum remove *nvidia*
2. rebooted
3. reinstalled nvidia packages:
$ yum install akmod-nvidia nvidia-settings nvidia-xconfig
4. rebooted
