f17 printing stalls

OK, the kernel probably isn't the issue.  However, if you still have the 
last kernel installed from before this started, you might try booting 
into it and see if it helps, just to be sure.  Also, just as an aside, 
I'd suggested checking the error_log before and after the printing so 
that you'd eliminate anything earlier.  (I agree, however, that tail -f 
would have been better.)
