Can Fedora count it rpms?

why in the next step?

this is a completly wrong advise, there maybe F18/F19 packages which are
*not* dupes and so the grep shows nothing with value

"package-cleanup --dupes" is your friend
as well as "package-cleanup --cleandupes"
