why is the kernel-debuginfo package older than the current kernel package?

  i'm sure there's a simple answer to this, but on my fully-updated
64-bit fedora 20 system running kernel 3.12.10-300, i went to install
the kernel-debuginfo package and got version 3.11.10-301. should all
kernel-related packages not be kept in sync? or am i just
misunderstanding something here?
