Thanks for reaching out Ed, but I'm afraid this machine is doomed. It won't even run puppy Linux reliably from a flash drive. I don't trust it with my data, which I hope stays intact.

mv fedora fedora-orig

yum check-update

FYI, I've no problems to update an F19 system.....
