Not always.  My desktop runs 24/7.  Unless a notification stays up until 
I acknowledge it, it's not going to do me a bit of good if it comes up 
while I'm sleeping, or otherwise away.  One thing I like about both abrt 
and the SELinux Troubleshooter is that they stay in the notification 
area until you look at them.
