Doing sudo fedup --network 19 --debuglog fedupdebug.log screwed up my system

I decided to upgrade my F18 system to F19. After updating the F18 system to
the latest updates and installing fedup I ran:

sudo fedup --network 19 --debuglog fedupdebug.log

This completed without errors.

I then rebooted and selected the option to upgrade the system. After
several hours there was no
progress so I rebooted expecting I could try again. No such luck,
after rebooting all I got was
a blinking cursor. So I booted off an F18 DVD, selected
troubleshooting and again all I got was
a blinking cursor, and after a few seconds the system rebooted.

How do I recover my system?

Any help is appreciated.

Paolo
