Fedora 20 Desktop hanging

Thank you very much for that suggestion.

The culprit seems to be the xorg intel driver, which got updated two 
days ago, after which noticed this problem.

sudo grep -P "xorg|ply|nouv" /var/log/yum.log

My laptop uses the hybrid intel/nvidia gpu for it's video system.

I will be downgrading xorg to see if this helps
