Yes, it fails due to the compilation missing symbols.

C.f. lines 221-300 of your build.log
You'll see plenty of "implict decl" warnings and "undefined reference" 
errors.


Seems to me as if this package requires a newer version of gtk than it 
is provided with F20, ie. you are facing an incompatibility.

I don't know if this package is supposed to be buildable on F20 or not.

If it is, upstream should handle this gtk incompatibility gracefully. If 
not, the rpm-spec should carry a BR: > <something> and refuse to build.
