Whatever is followed or not, is it technically correct or not, certainly it is done correctly with at least some of the monitors.
e.g.
"Screen size: 53.1 cm x 29.9 cm (23.99 inches, aspect ratio 16/9 = 1.78)"

Do not be too harsh to fellow developers, it is a difficult life. :)
