As well I have some past experience with Linux (because I used Unix many years ago),
I am new to Fedora, now, having lost all the practice with this environment.
For this I apologize if I don't put quite well my question.

 It look to me that hplip-3.14.6 is not a file but it is a directory:

I went to the site http://hplipopensource.com/node/249 (where I run the installation), because I didn't find the 
exact driver for my printer... (now I find it).

I am not sure how hplip works, ... 
I can think that it supplies the drivers for linx environment, but in what way ??
could I have a more exact explanation? 

3. ---------------------------------------
Is my opinion that (now) the problem is connected with the URI of the printer on the net.
seem to me that this information is not found from the installer.

In the dialog, the printer that I wound 
install (as printer in the net) was indicated as 
HP-2515
//Nelly
(Nelly is the name of the -Window server computer- that manage the printer- there it is the name of computer, but it is not indicate any IP address)

some one can help me to interpret the message of error that I got when occurred the failure of the installation of the printer:


[Client 15] Returning IPP client-error-not-possible for CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer (ipp://localhost/printers/HP-2515) from localhost
