Acrobat fonts compared to Evince fonts

I have occasionally poked around in acrobat with a
stick and never determined why wacky fonts happen.
It seems to depend on the document, and I've
sometimes suspected when the document claims
to refer to "standard" postscript fonts that
are supposed to be "built-in" that acrobat
goes completely looney. Other PDF documents
have no problem in acrobat.

I gave up a long time ago and just use
evince all the time.
