I suspect these are not directories...but files.  They must be directories.

ls -l /media  will tell you....

[egreshko at meimei media]$ pwd
/media
[egreshko at meimei media]$ ls -l
total 4
-rw-r--r--. 1 root root    0 Oct 21 21:42 PRTZ-src_sync               <----- a file
drwxr-xr-x. 2 root root 4096 Oct 21 21:42 PRTZ-svn_backup    <----- a directory
