I not know about wodim (as I'm /due to problem with it/ for years
using Jörg Schilling's cdrtools package) - but I've never seen such
a report (but use another CD/DVD drives).
Only tip: you have set cdrecord binary as SUID root? For certain
operations it is required.
You can also ask for help on the cdrtools-support mailing lists.
